My daughter’s first crocs
Finally I convinced my wife that its time to get a pair of crocs for our 4 year old. No, it was not to make a fashion statement. But I have to say that since I got my own pair of crocs about 6 months ago I have never regretted it even for a single day. As I was looking for an excuse to show off what a discovery I had made, I noticed that my daughter’s shoes had discolored - from a dark blue to a shade darker. Hardly noticeable but it was good enough for me to get excited.
“I think it’s time we got a new pair of shoes for…” my wife cut me short by saying “Right… I was thinking the same too!”. That was too easy! Now for the tough part…”How about a pair of crocs?”. Wifey gave me a look like I just mentioned something blasphemous. You see, my wife’s theory is that getting expensive branded shoes for kids is silly because they will outgrow it in no time. Agreed, but then I’ve never been the smart one at home. And I gave her some kind of story (which was so vague that I can’t even recollect it right now) and convinced her finally.
Yes, Dad was about to show Daughter the discovery he had made!
